The College of Education (COED) of Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) has been recognized by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Professional Regulatory Board for Professional Teachers for its outstanding performance in the March 2026 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT).
The College of Education ranked 7th nationally in the LEPT Elementary Level category for schools with 50 to 99 examinees achieving at least 90% passing rate — a testament to the university’s commitment to producing highly competent educators.

The university posted an impressive passing rate of 96.43%, with 54 out of 56 examinees successfully earning their licenses — placing CHMSU among the top-performing institutions in the country. The recognition was conferred during the oath-taking ceremony for newly licensed professional teachers held on June 28, 2026, at the Iloilo Convention Center in Iloilo City.
Representing the university at the ceremony were COED Dean Ophelia Duayan and Bachelor of Elementary Education Program Chairperson Mary Gee Salbibia.

During the oath taking ceremonies, two CHMSUan national topnotchers were also honored: Kim Patricia Espinosa, who placed 5th in the Secondary Category, and Nera Andre Quinto, who placed 8th in the Elementary Category.
