The Gender and Development (GAD) Office held the Seminar-Workshop on the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG) for faculty of Fortune Towne Campus on September 18, 2026, at the Audio-Visual Room (AVR) of CHMSU Fortune Towne Campus.
The activity is part of the GAD Office’s continuing effort to strengthen faculty understanding of gender-responsive planning, research, and extension across the university.

On behalf of Fortune Towne Campus Excecutive Director Ruvy Tuble, Administrative Officer Ligaya Fuentes delivered the opening remarks welcoming the faculty members to the activity, while GAD Director Ana Mary Ann Pancho gave the briefing and rationale for the seminar-workshop.
Officials from the State University of Northern Negros (SUNN) served as resource speakers. Director for Extension Services Vanessa Cayacay and Director for Research and Development Kristine Soberano, led the lecture, discussion, and open forum on the guidelines and how to apply them.

Faculty members also presented their work for review under the HGDG. Prof. Jethro Dagunan Sr., DRRM Coordinatior, presented his research, “Vertical Variation in Coffee Production: Assessing the Correlation Between Elevation and Crop Yield.”
Meanwhile, Engr. Gani Gayondato Jr. presented his project, “Enhancement of IT Building Comfort Rooms to All Gender CR,” and Prof. Eleanor Lecaniel presented her research, “Entrepreneurial Competencies and Challenges of Women Entrepreneurs Toward Sustainable Capacity Program.”
