First year students from the four campuses attended a webinar on “How to Have a Successful College Life” with Resource Speaker Engr. Michael S. Mayordo, Jr., Junior Field Engineer, Equipaje Realty and Development Corporation on November 15, 2022 via Facebook Live on the CHMSU Compassion Facebook Page.
The activity was organized by the Office of the Guidance Services in line with its goal to assist students in the aspects of Academics, Career Path, and Psycho-social Needs. In her welcome message, Director for Student Affairs and Services Janet P. Espinosa, PhD said that she hopes that through this webinar, the students will be able to gain more strength and patience in facing the challenges of college life.
Engr. Mayordo, who graduated from the University with a degree in Civil Engineering, shared his experiences as a student and how these have led him to where he is now. He also presented some helpful ways and tips to achieve a successful college life.
Guidance Services Director Juben Palermo MAED, RGC closed the webinar by thanking everyone involved in making the event possible and the students who attended. He mentioned that students are always welcome and encouraged to visit their Guidance Counselors for their career or college life concerns. “Success is ahead of you,” he adds.
