University officials, unit heads, college deans, and program chairpersons of Carlos Hilado Memorial State University gathered at the SMX Convention Center Bacolod for the orientation-workshop in preparation for the upcoming ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) Programme Assessment for AY 2027–2028, September 2, 2026

Organized by the Quality Management Office, the session aimed to prepare four degree programs for evaluation: BA in English Language, BS in Hospitality Management, BS in Civil Engineering, and BS in Information Systems.
Director for Quality Management Yrika Marie Dusaran led the orientation on the pre-assessment timeline and required documentation, as well as the technical preparations and the procedures of the assessment.
In his welcome message, VP for Academic Affairs Engr. Russel Dela Torre underscored the importance of continuous improvement to align the university’s academic offerings with international standards. Later in the afternoon, Pres. Mangulabnan visited the ongoing workshop session in support of the participating university executives in the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) Team.
This activity builds on the two-day AUN-QA Self-Assessment Report Incubation Writing workshop held in August 2025.
In the afternoon, representatives of each criterion working group presented their draft responses along with their proposed plan of action leading to the submission of documents.
