Students from Carlos Hilado Memorial State University (CHMSU) Talisay Campus attended the Cine Europa 28 Film Festival on September 25, 2025, at the Cinematheque Centre Negros, located inside the Negros Museum.
Bachelor of Public Administration students participated in a cultural event, accompanied by Feliz Tiosen, Information Officer III, and faculty members Precious Jane Canal and Jansen Tumabing from the College of Arts and Sciences. The group viewed “The Four Souls of Coyote,” a Hungarian animated film exploring Indigenous mythology and the coyote’s role in the creation of the world.

The film conveyed powerful messages about environmental stewardship and the urgent need to protect the ecosystem, aligning with the university’s commitment to global education on sustainability issues.
The screening was part of the European Union’s annual initiative to promote cultural exchange and showcase European cinema diversity to Filipino audiences through the Cine Europa film festival.
CHMSU supports activities that expand students’ global perspectives and foster critical awareness of pressing international issues, including climate change and sustainability. The university remains committed to providing enriching co-curricular experiences that complement academic learning.
