First-year Bachelor of Arts in Social Science students organized and held CASinemalaya, the sixth installment of the CASinemalaya film series, from February 23 to February 27, 2026.
The weeklong event featured selected films highlighting Negrosanon heritage and gender-sensitive themes, promoting cultural awareness and social understanding connected to Negros Island and relevant societal issues.
Film screenings were conducted daily from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM at the Audio Visual Room (AVR) and the Dining Hall. Each venue followed its respective screening schedule to accommodate attendees throughout the event.

The activity was carried out through organized screening sessions led by the first-year students, who served as the main event organizers. Tickets were distributed at designated ticket booths to manage audience entry and participation.
Assigned officers supervised the venues to maintain order and ensure the smooth flow of the program, while technical staff handled and operated audiovisual equipment to guarantee proper film presentation.
Through CASinemalaya, the organizers successfully combined entertainment and education, fostering appreciation for local culture and encouraging discussions on important social issues.
