Residents of all ages converged at the Talisay City Track and Oval on the afternoon of April 24, 2026, to break a sweat and renew their pledge to Mother Earth through the “Earth Walk, Run, and Jam.”
The event seamlessly blended fitness, advocacy, and entertainment, fostering a shared commitment to environmental preservation.
The festivities kicked off as running enthusiasts joined an energetic Zumba warm-up before the official gun start for the 3K and 5K Earth Run.

The event concluded with an awards ceremony honoring the top finishers in the men’s and women’s 3K and 5K categories. Throughout the night, participants and spectators enjoyed complimentary food and beverages provided by the Office of Mayor Rowena Lopez-Lizares and the members of the Sangguniang Panlungsod.
This successful celebration was the result of a robust collaboration between the City of Talisay, CHMSU, JCI Talisay, the RCE on Education for Sustainable Development, and XFM Bacolod. The production was spearheaded by the Center for Internationalization and External Relations, supported by dedicated student volunteers from the Event Management Team.
