Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officers from Bacolod City participated in a technical writing workshop at the CHMSU Talisay Campus organized by the Extension and Community Services (ECS) in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Bacolod City, August 12 to 16, 2024.
The workshop empowered the barangay secretaries, treasurers, and SK officers of Bacolod City by significantly enhancing their technical writing skills.
Participants were divided into two batches. The first batch, consisting of barangay officers, including secretaries and treasurers, attended the training from August 12 to the morning of August 14.
The second batch, made up of SK officers, began their training on the afternoon of August 14 and concluded on August 16.
ECS Director Roger Ray Manzano welcomed DILG partners and the barangay officers during the transition between batches at the Function Hall.
DILG Bacolod City Director Christian Nagaynay delivered a special message during the event. He urged participants to use the workshop as an opportunity to improve their technical writing skills.
The workshop also included hands-on training sessions held in the computer laboratories at CHMSU Talisay.
