The Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO) met with the Technology Transfer Unit (TTU) of the Department of Science and Technology Region VI (DOST VI) for the Tech Trip Technology Transfer Rally to Commercialize Intellectual Properties on November 25, 2022 at the Global Learning Café, Green Building, Talisay (Main) Campus. Vice President for Academic Affairs Jay B. Estrellas, EdD, RDS Director Leah L. Fernandez, PhD, ECS Director Roger Ray S. Manzano, PhD, Research, Extension and IPMO coordinators, and selected faculty members participated in the meeting.
Before the meeting proper, DOST VI-FOB Vice Chair Ernesto F. Botin III gave a brief overview of the activity. He was followed by Secretariat Member Julius Remar Gabiota, JD who gave the Technology Transfer Orientation which covered documentary requirements, technologies for commercialization, and DOST VI services and trainings on commercialization.
For the Intellectual Property Audit, IPMO TBI Manager Angelie P. Lopez, PhD presented CHMSU developed technologies while DOST VI-FOB Secretariat Member Angela C. Simora, ChE presented the technology database.
The group then proceeded with the commercialization meeting and open forum.
