The Office of the Guidance Services held a seminar entitled “Job-seeking Strategies and Acing Resume and Job Interviews” for graduating students on February 17, 2023 at the Multi-purpose Gym, Talisay (Main) Campus. This was in collaboration with JobStreet Philippines, an online platform that connects jobseekers with potential employers.
Guidance Services Director Juben Palermo, RGC welcomed the students to the seminar and said how this is a way for the university to ensure that each graduate is career-ready.
Speaker Rafael Iñigo Dela Cruz, Candidate Marketing Lead at JobStreet, shared various statistics and data on the employment situation in the Philippines. He discussed opportunities and common reasons for rejection, emphasizing that companies now are looking for team players especially among fresh graduates. He gave tips on creating an effective resume and how to perform well during interviews. Lucky students received hourly raffle prizes throughout the activity
