Harmonized GAD guidelines seminar-workshop held with Binalbagan Campus faculty

The Gender and Development (GAD) Office held a Seminar-Workshop on the “What, Why, and How of the Harmonized Gender and Development Guidelines (HGDG)” for faculty of Binalbagan Campus on September 11, 2026, at the Library AVR in CHMSU Binalbagan Campus.

The activity is part of the GAD Office’s continuing effort to strengthen faculty understanding of gender-responsive planning, research, and extension across the university.

The participants and guests were welcomed by Binalbagan Campus Executive Director Joevelle Vergara, Executive Director GAD Director Ana Mary Ann Pancho then delivered the briefing and rationale for the seminar-workshop, while Director for Extension and Community Services Wanny Jaron introduced the resource speakers.

Officials from the State University of Northern Negros (SUNN) served as resource speakers. The interactive lecture-discussion was led by Director for Extension Services Vanessa Cayacay and Director for Research and Development Kristine Soberano.

In the afternoon, participants took part in a hands-on workshop and critiquing session to deepen their understanding of gender-responsive planning and programming.

The seminar-workshop closed with the giving of certificates and closing remarks from Binalbagan Campus Coordinator Rose Regala. The program was hosted by Binalbagan Faculty Association President Cindy Canon.

The activity is part of the GAD Office’s continuing effort to strengthen faculty understanding of the guidelines across CHMSU campuses.
