IPMO holds 3-day seminar on IP essentials

The Intellectual Property Management Office (IPMO) held a three-day Echo-Seminar on Intellectual Property Masterclass at the Function Hall, Green Building, Talisay (Main) Campus on June 19-21, 2023.

The seminar aimed to provide members of the faculty and administration from the four campuses, who are involved in technology and industry projects or researches, a deeper understanding of intellectual property, its different categories, and important concepts in anticipation of commercialization opportunities.

Armando R. Reosura, PhD, Director, IPMO, along with Angelie P. Lopez, PhD, Manager, Technology Based Incubator Knowledge and Technology Transfer Office, Rammel A. Cadagat, Coordinator, IPMO – Talisay Campus, and Marvin A Margarito, Coordinator, IPMO – Alijis Campus served as resource speakers during the seminar. The sessions covered topics such as Patent Research Tools, Strategies, and Reporting, Invention Spotting, and Claim Drafting. The participants also took part in workshops where concepts were applied and presented.

In his closing message, Ricky B. Acanto, PhD, Director, Research and Development Services, expressed his gratitude to the IPMO for organizing the seminar and to the participants for taking the time to join the seminar.
