Pursuant to DOST PAG-ASA Forecast (La Granja Station) March 8, 2024 forecast, the heat Index forecast to reach as high as 40 degrees Celsius and City of Bacolod Executive Order No 013. Series of 2024, declaring the suspension of all classes in all levels of both public and private schools/universities in the City of Bacolod, the Office of the University President declares the suspension of all classes and work in Alijis and Fortune Towne campuses only.
Moreover, all classes in the Talisay and Binalbagan campuses are also suspended. However, all Faculty and non-teaching personnel will continue with their respective duties for the day. Everyone is advised to continue monitoring for updates, coordinate with local disaster risk reduction and management offices, and take the necessary precautionary measures to keep themselves hydrated.
