Members of the Society of Young Management Accountants (SYMA) underwent a comprehensive orientation seminar on Jan. 11, 2025 at the CHMSU Fortune Towne Campus Function Hall.
Dubbed “VIMA NEXUS”, the activity featured guest speaker Albert Gomez Jr. who discussed the Sustainable Development Goals underscoring the roles of management accountants in financial institutions or the banking sector.
Gomez also discussed valuation which helped the young management accountants determine the entire value of a property.
SYMA adviser Stanley Sabuya continued the activity with a lecture on the zonal value, fair market value, how values are being arrived at based on the calculation of the BIR, and valuing the properties.
He also discussed the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) guidelines for taxpayer registration and closure.
This juncture discussed the renewal and registration of businesses including the step-by-step procedure, processing time and fees, and the business closure.
