The sports teams of Carlos Hilado Memorial State University Talisay Campus dominated the 2024 Intercampus Meet, securing four out of six championship titles, Nov. 16-17, 2024.
The winning six teams during the 2024 Intercampus Meet, together with athletes who succeeded in the tryouts, will represent CHMSU in the 2024 edition of the Western Visayas Regional State Colleges and Universities Athletic Association (RSCUAA) Sportsfest and Conference on Dec. 15, 2024, Director for Sports Affairs Jyan Rome Bascar said.
Bascar added that the Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology will host this year’s RSCUAA sportsfest.
Organized by the Sports Affairs Office, the four campuses competed in men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s e-sports, and men’s and women’s volleyball during the intercampus meet.
The Talisay Campus secured first place in men’s basketball with the Alijis Binalbagan and Fortune Towne campuses placing second, third, and fourth, respectively.
The women’s team of Talisay also dominated basketball, too, overtaking Binalbagan in second and Alijis in third.
The men’s e-sports team from Alijis Campus rose to the top followed by Talisay, Binalbagan, and Fortune Towne.
Talisay’s women’s team clinched first place in e-sports closely followed by Alijis in second, Fortune Towne in third, and Binalbagan in fourth.
The spikers of Binalbagan Campus dominated men’s volleyball leaving Alijis in second, Talisay in third, and Fortune Towne in fourth.
Talisay’s lady spikers won first place while Binalbagan volleybelles followed in second. Alijis and Fortune Towne placed third and fourth, respectively.
